Community Events

The attorneys and staff at Fryberger, Buchanan, Smith & Frederick, P.A. are committed to the communities we live and work in. Below are a few of the events that we participate in.

Lawyers on the Line

For 18 seasons, attorneys and judges from the local area have met in the PBS eight studios each Thursday night for Lawyers On The Line. The live call-in program features a panel of attorneys providing free legal advice on a wide range of issues.

Christmas City of the North Parade
Each November, Northland residents flock to Downtown Duluth to watch the annual Christmas City of the North Parade. Fryberger, Buchanan, Smith & Frederick , P.A. attorneys are outside providing complimentary hot cocoa and cookies to chilly parade goers.

Annual Governor William Bradford Memorial Turkey Trot
For the past 25 years, Harold and Ruth Frederick have sponsored the Annual Governor William Bradford Memorial Turkey Trot, held on Thanksgiving morning. This short , four mile walk/run/observe event starts and finishes at the end of Park Point. The event is held during rain, shine or snow! More than 200 people annually have participated in this annual event.

Salvation Army, Toyland Express Toy Drive
Each year the Salvation Army sponsors a Holiday Toy Drive. The attorneys and staff of Fryberger, Buchanan, Smith & Frederick sponsor a drop off site and provide toys.

United Way Day of Caring
The United Way of Duluth hosts the "Day of Caring" each June. The attorneys and staff of Fryberger, Buchanan, Smith & Frederick sponsored the "Baby Bottoms" drive to support the Bethany Crisis Nursery. Diapers, wipes and other supplies were gathered to support this event.
